Déluge’ Store's New Condition Scale: A Better Way to Rank Quality

Déluge’ Store's New Condition Scale: A Better Way to Rank Quality

At Déluge, we believe in transparency and accuracy when it comes to describing our items. That’s why we’ve transitioned from a numerical condition ranking system (1-10) to a more intuitive alphabetical scale. Our goal? To make it easier for you to understand exactly what you’re getting while ensuring that every item we sell is wearable and in good condition.

Why the Change?

While a numerical system may seem straightforward, it often lacks clarity. What’s the difference between a 7 and an 8? Or a 4 and a 5? To remove any guesswork, we’ve introduced a ticket-based alphabetical ranking system that clearly defines each condition level.

The Déluge Condition Scale

Each item we sell is assigned a Condition Ticket, which falls into one of the following categories:

Ticket S: Brand New/Never Worn

The item is in perfect condition.

No previous usage, no damage, no flaws.

Essentially, straight out of the box.

Ticket A: Like New/Very Light Wear

Worn once or twice but still pristine.

No visible flaws, no marks, no fading—just as good as new.

Ticket B: Slight Wear/Excellent Condition

Minor signs of wear, such as slight fading or small marks.

Possible tiny scuff or frayed stitching.

Still high-quality and very well kept.

Ticket C: Worn/Good Condition (With Minor Flaws)

Visible signs of wear, such as small pinholes, light stains, or fading.

Minor imperfections, but still fully wearable and in good shape.

Quality Over Everything

Unlike other stores, we do not stock or sell heavily damaged, unwearable, or destroyed items. Even our lowest ranking—Condition C—ensures that the piece is still stylish, functional, and ready to wear.

By implementing this new system, we hope to provide even more transparency so you can shop confidently, knowing exactly what to expect from every item.

Stay tuned for more updates, and as always—happy shopping!
